Contact messages
When you press Send message, your name, email address, selected reason, and message are transmitted over HTTPS to FormSubmit, which processes the submission for delivery to Robert at rmcmurrer@kiralabs.org. Your email lets Robert reply. Your Iris conversation is not included.
FormSubmit says it retains form submissions for 30 days, including submissions waiting for form-owner activation. Its service may apply spam checks and collect technical information. Read FormSubmit’s privacy terms and its help page. Once delivered, the email is also handled by Robert’s email provider. No specific mailbox retention period is promised here.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, sensitive employee records, or confidential files. This form does not accept attachments. Contact Robert for corrections or deletion requests.
The form uses a normal browser submission. FormSubmit may show a spam check or confirmation page. In a downloaded review this opens in another tab; on the published website it can return to Kira Labs. The receiver must activate the form before delivery is enabled.
Iris and published knowledge
Iris loads versioned public knowledge files and uses the original website guide’s answer and follow-up logic in your browser. A name change does not grant access to any private record. The guide covers published biography, screen credits, books, and project notes, with the current website’s project selection applied.
Your questions and replies stay in this tab’s memory. There are no model-provider calls, saved transcripts, microphone requests, or automatic forwarding to the contact form. New chat clears the conversation. Original public assets may be downloaded from Kira Labs or its public GitHub repository; those requests retrieve published files, not your questions.
Optional voice playback uses your browser’s speech synthesis. Available voices and any network processing depend on your browser and selected voice.
Healthspan Lab: local profiles, health records, and live research
The Healthspan Lab prototype is a separate application linked from this website. In the current Version 2 code, household profiles, the active-profile choice, watchlists, notes, and profile-specific chat history are stored in browser local storage. Uploaded medical PDFs and images are stored per profile in browser IndexedDB. The application does not intentionally upload those local profile or raw-record files to GitHub or Kira Labs.
Local does not mean encrypted. Version 2 browser storage is not encrypted and is not a medical-record system. Raw PDFs and photos are intentionally excluded from ordinary JSON workspace exports, but exported profile, watchlist, note, and confirmed-fact data can still be sensitive.
PDF text extraction and OCR run in the browser. The current implementation loads PDF/OCR libraries and language assets from public CDNs when extraction is requested, so it should not be described as a fully offline encrypted vault.
Live research requests leave the browser. A research question is sent to PubMed / NCBI and ClinicalTrials.gov to retrieve current records. If a user chooses “Find research for active profile,” the search query can include terms derived from optional conditions/topics, goals, interests, and user-confirmed health-fact labels. In the current code, profile name, birthday, sex, and city/state/country are not sent as a profile object to those sources; age, sex, and location are used locally to rank returned trial records. Users should still avoid entering information into a research query that they do not want sent to those external services.

Hosting and links
GitHub Pages hosts the public website. GitHub states that visitors’ IP addresses are logged for security. External services such as FormSubmit, GitHub, IMDb, Amazon, Facebook, and YouTube have their own privacy practices. No new site analytics or advertising trackers are included in this revision.
